We are happy to announce that the Gainesville Sun has established a comprehensive Events Calendar online at www.gainesville.com. This site is interactive, user-friendly, and able to display more information and site maps. All event organizers are encouraged to enter their events free of charge. As of August 1, 2008, the Division of Cultural Affairs will no longer be producing a Master Calendar of Events either in print form or on this web site. We will be referring all inquiries concerning events (other then those produced by Cultural Affairs) to the www.gainesville.com web site. Due to budget cuts, and increased access to technology and other web sites, Cultural Affairs feels our limited resources can be better used on other projects/programming. We are glad that we could help promote your previous events and strongly encourage you to take advantage of the free promotion that the www.gainesville.com site has to offer.
