
Gainesville Artisans’ Guild
The City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of Gainesville Artisans’ Guild, which will run November 3, 2007 – January 6, 2008 in the Thomas Center Mezzanine Gallery. A free public reception will be held Thursday, November 29, 2007 from 5 - 7 p.m. The Artisans’ Guild Gallery is a cooperative gallery with more than 60 active members offering a splendid array of art and fine craft including painting, photography, fabric, wood, glass, pottery, jewelry, sculpture and more.
Founded in 1970, the Artisans’ Guild is one of the oldest functioning cooperatives in America. The guild salespeople are local artists who enjoy talking about the artwork with visitors. For additional information on the Artisans’ Guild Gallery, please call (352) 378-1383.
The Thomas Center Galleries are located at 302 NE 6th Ave. Gainesville, FL 32601. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
